Backtotropical's Main Tank

Lookin good backtotropical :good: You'll be glad to know my wee tank is stickin near that hallowd Ph7 :p I'm waitin for responses from the "plant people" with bated breath, maybe they can set me straight too.

Oh aye, howdi to all you other posters... this be me first one...weyhey :hey:

Yep. That Fern doesn't look aquatic. And that other type of plant, that almost looks like fern may not be aqautic also. You may want to get a few pics of each plant up close and post it on the planted tank section thread you have.It looks good! :good: I think you should get another piece for the other side :D

Thanks again DiscusLova. I will get more bogwood. I think it will look better. Cheers :good:

Thanks Marsho. Glad your PH is finally sorting itself out. Any more problems, just consult Dr. Backtotropical. LOL.

Tank looks really fresh! Love the substrate :good:

Cheers Lion007! :good:

I bought more bogwood today and it is currently soaking before being added to the tank. I've not been brave enough to test PH yet.

More pics once the new bogwood goes in, and also the eagerly awaited PH result. Exciting! :good:

Great Tank backtotropical! I am thinking about adding Driftwood to my Aquarium. See My Aquarium Here --> http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=205851

Any Suggestions? -- I want to add some live plants too. What are some great live plants?

Josh

Thanks Budde. Your tank is v.nice. Some bogwood would finish it off nicely and the fish will appreciate it. They like to have somewhere to hide. I think a few rummy nose tetras would look ace in your tank. Just my opinion.

I'm no expert on plants i'm afraid. Post your questions in the plants section (you'll see my thread there also =>My Plants Thread) and you'll get lots of useful advice there. :good:

I love your tank. Your pic makes me want to change to sand.

Is it possible to change to sand when you already have fish in the tank?

Josh

Thanks Branjie.

Yes it's possible to change to sand. I would remove the fish first to save stressing them too much, but it wouldn't do any harm to change. I bought aquarium sand from my LFS but as many guys on here will tell you, 'Playsand' from Argos is exactly the same and lots cheaper. :good: :good:

OK. I was awake until 4 o'clock this morning aquascaping. Additional bogwood and plants have been added. Its still a touch cloudy and its only my blue moons which are on, but here it is. Any comments appreciated as always.
