Baby Lyretail Swordtails Photos

Thought I'd share a couple of photos of my baby fish. Also how common is it to have Male Lyretail Swordtails? Never seen one before I bred my own...

One of the first fish I ever breed was a beautiful red lyretail, almost identical to yours!

Unfortunately they often can't breed (mine couldn't) as their gonopodium is..um...too big :blush:
 
They can't breed their gonopodium s are to long you need to breed with a male with a normal gonopodium they often turn up in lfs usually the females are almost always graved. all you need to do is grow on the fry you should get a good percent of normal males then just breed them back to the females

Yes, you can see it in the photos, it's HUGE!

Also I was going to say one of the fry has had one of his eyes taken out. :sad: He seems to be coping well enough without it tho.
