I have 2 large koi, 1 large goldfish, and around 10 smaller goldfish outside in my pond. Well, today while feeding them, I saw a baby koi :*)! It's calico just like one of my koi, and is around 3"(little sucker knows how to hide quite well :p)! Tommorow I will go to clean my pond, and then capture the baby(s). Any advice? Thanks ahead!

To raise it indoors, where I can be sure that it will be healthy and well fed, instead of fighting for food with 12 other big mouths :).

If it's 3 inches then it must be doing pretty well fighting with the other fish for food! Earlier today I saw in my pond about 15 goldfish or koi fry amongst my plants which is nice to see, varying sizes from 5mm to 1", so it looks like some of them might make it to adulthood :)

Congrats on your babies William! I just looked in my 29 gallon(not the koi pond), and found a baby cory ! I am finding babies everywhere!

Actually.... Now that I have caught it, it looks like a goldfish/koi hybrid. Is that possible?

Yes, cross breeding happens all the time.

Does the fish have any barbels? If not then it's a goldfish.

When bringing pond fry inside to raise they need to be just that, fry! Your "fry" is now and young fish. If you want to raise fry inside then you need to find them when there fresly hatched, I was releasing goldfish and rudd fry when they were 2-3"

Thanks for the info. My baby cory just died :-(.
