well the tank, i would use is a 7x2x2 and 4x18x15 sump, prob with a 3500 ltr return pump,poss going for 2 returns, but i d play that by ear so to speak,
not sure as to which or any arowana , as there's quete afew more f.w fish i like too

If you got an asian, then you could have more than just an arowana.
You could have loads of things, including the oscar....

They are now quite readily available within Europe and Asia but America still has the ban in place, for what reasons i dont know.

Almost certainly protectionism: why allow foreign arowanas to flood the US market if they wait a while for the breeders in Florida to produce domestic animals. Since they'd sell for $100 a piece, minimum, and several thousands for the quality stuff, there's a massive amount of money to be made. Whenever I see odd trade restrictions like this in either the EU or the US, where "conservation" or "health reasons" are cited, I just don't believe them.
