Are These Species Combatibe

1 x Nicaraguense (do you know a common name for this)

That is the most common name along with Nicaragua Cichlid
Although in some areas they are known as Spilotum

A Perruno Cat or Sun Cat should work,

so would this work

1 x oscar
2 x common plecs (would the 2 be ok)
1 x green sev
6 x silver dollars
1 x lima shoval nose
1 x Nicaraguense
2 x kissing gouramis
1 x sun catfish
could i have both catfish

if so 1 x perruno aswell

also the sump maybe a juwel rio 180

oh i looked in morrisons yesterday the only prawns they sell in freas and frozen are all cooked ready to eat ones

do you know if i could have both

tbh i don't think it matters too much, I have fed all types from ready prepared king prawns to no frills basic frozen prawns,

As for the cats it will depend on how well they take to each other, If you give them lots of caves and tunnels etc they should all be ok

cool ill get some cooked ones then

will a pump with 480litre a hour do

Nope, if you think a good external has a flowrate of between 1000lph and 2000lph,

Not sure though on what exactly you would need for a sump as it would depend on the sump size and the diameters of overflows, pipes etc.

im not keen on them

would a fluval fx5 be sutable

to give you an idea I use an FX5 AND another 1200lph external filter on my 6x2x2 and don't think this will be enough when fully stocked - you want a heavy stocking so I 'd go for 2 fx5's as a minimum.

By the way - I think you sound over stocked

1 x oscar - very messy
2 x common plecs (would the 2 be ok) -very messy
1 x green sev
6 x silver dollars
1 x lima shoval nose - IMO get too big for an 18" wide tank
1 x Nicaraguense
2 x kissing gouramis
1 x sun catfish
could i have both catfish

if so 1 x perruno aswell = again, I wouldn't put a perruno in an 18" wide tank

Be very careful mixing catfish - they can be very territorial - my 18" clarias has killed other bottom dwellers including a 14" Gibbiceps.

ok im gunna go with a sump

and i dont worry about the cats territory as the length i also dont worry about the catfish turning as catfish ime dont turn just flat to the floor thanks tho

LOL, catfish do turn! Most cats are most active at night when we don't see them, they are hunters- predators and need adequate space as much as any other fish.
