Hi guys,

I'm busy doing that thing where you buy a few items online but are determined to get above the £50 so you get free shipping. Problem is I tend to buy everything in bulk, so there is very little I need.  ANy thoughts on medications etc that should be at the back of the cupboard - because at the minute I have £25 worth of various dried foods in my basket, along with some seachem safe and protozin and sterazin.

I'm debating if the protozin is worth it, I've just got new botia loaches and they are apparently very sensitive, I think if I ever got ich I'd be treating with salt.

Thoughts guys - quickly, so I can get delivery on Monday ;)

Spares.

Heaters and internal filters (or even just air driven box filters to keep some media going) are potential life savers when a primary goes down on a holiday weekend.

Also a great excuse to get kit set for a hospital tank.

Ditto the spare heater and filter, a battery operated air pump in case of any power failure. If you have loaches swap the waterlife meds for eSha meds (these are safe with loaches), test kit? always worth having a second one if you already have one to double check results.

Thanks guys

I tend to do aquarium work topless... saves wet clothes - not very helpful though.

I was more thinking medications and things, i have more spare equipment lying around than i know what to do with - I've got a full aquarium kit still in the box because we've been waiting two years to get more sockets fitted in its intended location.

Have heard that Esha 2000 is a good all-rounder to have - seems to cover most infections etc.

In that case, there's nothing on my essentials list. Which gives a wonderful excuse to buy something off the non essentials list, because it's great value for money when you factor in the free postage :)
