Another Cheap Small Tank

I have a heater that will heat that tank. Hydro i think?

There's 50w ones on ebay for £10, but no 25w hydor theo's. Lots of other 25w ones though

i realy would'nt go sticking a 25 watt in a 1.5 gallon tank....I put a 50 watt in a 5.8 gallon tank, and the temp was too great, killing my fry.

If your going to go for a 25 watt, keep it on the lowest setting in order to account for temp fluctuation and overheating etc

btw i am just assuming the 25 watt heater in question is submersible - i'm too lazy to click the link

when i lost my 50w heater(Doh!) i used a 150w theo heater in a 3.8Gal tank with no problems, i turned the temp down by a few degree's though not much. obviously i ran the tank for 2 days without any fish first to check the temp was stable. and it stayed at 80 constantly, which was what i was aiming for.

the theo heaters are totally submersible, can be used in any position (vertical, diagonal, even lying on the bottom of the tank) they work differently to normal heaters and instead of blasting out loads of heat when the temp drops to a low point, they heat more often, but less intensely, think this is why they don't cause overheating. (they are slow heating cold water to a decent temp, but they keep it steady well.)
i originally bought one as i kept forgetting to turn the heater off when doing water changes, and cracking the heaters ( :X  ) and the theo's are self limiting, and turn themselves off if they are not submerged. plus they are shatterprooof, so ideal for me.
Maximum security: THEO is shock resistant thanks to the PTC heating element and the shatterproof glass tube.

Free positioning in the aquarium: vertical, horizontal and completely submerged.

Self-limiting: the patented PTC heating system guarantees operation in complete security because in case of dry running there is no danger for damage.

The 25W, 50W, 100W & 150W models are the smallest available on the market, they measure only 17.8 cm & 22.6 cm (7 in & 8.9 in ).
