Hey, I was wondering what people think is the minimum size of an aquarium for 2 angels? I'm just wondering...lol

Hi, :hi: to the forums.

Angels get very big and mamy people can't believe their adult size when they see the tiny ones in the shop!

They need a tank that is at least 18" high because of their large fins. They also get wide so the tank really has to be quite large to keep angels happily.

For me, the tank would have to be at least 36" long and 18" high.

Yeah I know how big they get  I've bred them along with discus (which are so difficult) however I was just trying to find other peoples opinions because mine are exactly the same as yours (I forgot to mention sorry) thnx

lol, cool. Didn't mean to treat you like a newbie!!

You could probably help me with my angels who suddenly decided to spawn when I added discus to the tank!!

I've had that happen twice I think...I can't explain it, knowing that discus and angels are closely related I thought maybe they felt happier being as a bigger group, but then I thought well fish don't spawn as easily in big shoals...I guess it was just luck I presume. Maybe they thought the time was right  I was also asking this question cos I gotta a couploe of angels ina 3ft tank (I got for free they were injured at lfs)
