Angel Issues

They know what the food is but they wont like there top fins touch the waters surface so they just blank the food due to this reason.

Even if I push the food into the water they'll chase it but end up blanking it once they see it :|

Nice colours on those two, look like good solid blacks from the shot. No way of reliably knowing the gender unless you want to mess with hormones, which I wouldn't recommend and you probably don't have access to. Fingers crossed on a pair that will get on. If they're picking at food then I wouldn't generally worry too much, it's the ones that show no interest that really bother me.

One is very picky what flakes they go for, the other spends most of its day staring out of the glass. I have yet to even see him look at food.

Try frozen bloodworm :) not much likes the dried bloodworm IMO, at least, not those who are fussy! But frozen bloodworm nearly always gets angels going :)

Ugh, Don't have cash for frozen at the mo. Could I try freeze dried?

Well, I tried and the tetras just went for it. So no luck.

Can try it, but if they dont show interest in it, dont give up lol

I might have to target feed them but there scared of me going anywhere near the tank ¬.¬

Just leave em be Techen :) Let em settle in, they are still new! Cichlids arealways a bit more 'tempermental' than other species!

I will let them settle in, The last angel I had was like "What chu looking at >:C" and would try and eat my fingers when I fed him :(

Give them time ;) you will have double trouble in no time!! LOL

Or worse, single trouble. You want a good spread of dominance.

It sounds a lot like the pair of black angels I kept, I found them to be MUCH more timid than the angels i have now. It took them a good week to settle in, and I thought for sure i would never get them to eat. Every time anyone came near the tank, they hid. They'll adjust, they just need space lol

Great looking Angels Techen, good luck with them.  Hoping you have a perfect pair.

Am I correct that you only added one new angel? General rule of thumb is to add cichlids in a group...
