Top Gear is ceasing to exist? What!

What the hell am i going to do on a Sunday night now? We cant let s**ty Fifth Gear take over, we simply cannot!

If Top Gear stops that seriously sucks, its about the best thing on TV currently.

The only good thing about 5th gear is that it tests and shows you more cars that the veiwers could actully afford to buy than top gear, top gear is doog banter and nice cars but knowing how well the latest veron drives doesn't help me pick my next car

Fifth gear has a few good drivers and some good reviews which are actually relevant. They do however try to attempt to recreate some Top Gear scenarios but seem to fail hard. However due to the fact they have cars we can realistically expect and proper drivers with some experience in racing behind them in which they race around the tracks and do off road races. As opposed to Clarksons straight line full speed slam brakes on and then do a hundred wheel spins and doughnuts I would say Fifth gear actually have the edge over Top Gear.

Top gear WAS interesting until the scripting got so bad it was unbearable. The jokes aren't funny anymore as they're undeniably predictable.

However, I'm really gutted the Stigs identity has been released and find it really sad that someone who actually signed a contract to state he wasn't allowed to release it that he was the stig tried to include it in his life story. Then they actually had to go to a high court and waste our TV licence money to protect something we have effectively paid for to start off with. It's kind of silly how it has come out, and it's kind of silly the press have done the best to ruin it for everyone who enjoyed watching Top gear.

I can't stand any of the presenters on Fifth Gear. Ok they review more realistic cars for what the majority of civilisation can afford, but Top Gear was never meant to be about any of that. Its always been the sports cars and top performance stuff. The games, stunts and little adventures they do on Top Gear are just amazing. Yes, the comedy can be somewhat predictable, but i admit i still chuckle at some of the stuff they do. Alot of it is corny and clearly staged before hand but its funny.

If it does cease to be any more i'll miss it heavily. Clarkson will undoubtedly carry with some form of car show, its all he ever does.

Top gear and fifth gear are very different shows. It's not really down to the presenter.

Top gear is about having fun with cars. Fifth gear is about cars and the facts and figures. Personally fifth gear bores the life out of me. Top gear I always enjoy.
