Ronaldo should have had that penalty disqualified, hesitations on penalties are dissalowed!!

It seems that every game I watch with penalties, the n0b-ends that hessitate then shoot get away with it... It absolutley sucks, this is a FIFA rule, hesatations in penalties are wrong, why do they not practice it?!?"

Nevermind, we are out.. ..really thought this was our year though :X

I really don't underdstand why the Scottish and Welsh don't seem too happy with England getting so far, I mean, just because you failed so early on in the tournament doesn't mean you can disgard your neighbours. Cheer England on for gods sake! they'll make you closest to winning the world cup than your own teams! :p

sure I'll get flamed for saying this but it was obvious from day 1 we wouldn't win. We've played rubbish throughout the tournament and didn't deserve to win it.

fair enough there's been a few shoddy descisions against us, but the simple fact is we didn't play well enough to win.

it is a shame, I am a bit upset but Ive been realistic about our chances all the way through

I agree with you, miss wiggle. Im not really a football person but its been obviously from the start that we were simply not up to it. Oh well, next time? :X

personally i couldnt care less about football, but i can see how some people feel bad :flowers:

england played fantastic this all comes down to the fact that the ref was argentinian (sp) and they hate england not one decision went our way and i would be quite happy to see his head on a stick

You thought this was our year? What have you been watching?!!

It was a tense match

Like alan hansen said on chris moyles, its the old england scotland thing, you quite like us and we hate you!!
Try living with a biased media and months of we are going to win the cup at every tournament and you would maybe understand why we don't support you.
Would you support the local rival to your club, I would hazard a guess that you'd rather support their opposition, no?

Another reason we don't want england to win anything. You always say you will win the tournament, but when you don't, its always someone elses fault

To be honest england i think England got this far due to poor opposition, but having said that, surely finishing in the last 8 teams of a global tournament is an achievement? i think so anyways :good:

To be honest, i don't think Erikssons head was with it, he was there on holiday. He's already sacked, and got a new job with Real Madrid, what does he care what happens to people that sack him, but still pay him to go on holiday, whilst scouting prospective players for his new club job? lol England is too honest for it's own good.

EDIT: it wasn't so much the ref himself, more the pressure the portugese players were putting on him in tight situations, whilst the english players stood there watching (i.e. looking guilty).
