I enjoy working with fish.... but I never stop thinking that i left my job with the alpacas due to not being able to cope physically with th job (ongoing neck and back problems along with the start of arthritis in my knee and fingers) and other stuff too... but I miss the alpacas every single day.
They can be right little devils, they kick, nip, headbutt, barge, spit gunky slime all over you, usually in your face...
But they are cute and beautiful animals, unusual, beautiful fleeces, fascinating behaviours! Its the behaviours that fascinate me, they hum to each other, different pitches of humming for 'where's my baby' and 'im worried' and 'im really scared'. Their mating behaviour is nothing short of unusual (i wont go into it LOL). I could go on all day... they are amazing animals!
I took the chance to grab a few photos but it started piddling down so only got a few, couldnt get around all the fields i wanted to get to, a few hundred acres!
But here are some of the nicer photos:
Sunday (the mum of Tobasco/Chocolate Sundae, my favourite alpaca which i will post a photo of later)
Running Cloud (last time i saw her was when i showed her and she was knee high)
Cria (baby/spanish word for calf)
