Alex's 150l

That's great, good luck with the AGA, I'm sure you'll do very well, the judges will love it!

I don't know, will see, thanks anyway.

I really like it.The hairgrass is beautiful.

Thanks George.

How often do you prune it?

I prune it every two weeks and to be honest I don't know why because in my previous scape I never pruned it.

Have you ever thinned it out?

No but I think the days are counted now, it is very dense and I don't really know how long I am gone get away with it.

Do you get traces of algae amongst the blades of grass?

Ha la question qui tue. Yes I do, some staghorn, I got it for month now and I don't really know how to re-dove it I've got as well some BBA on the Juncus and that I don't know why because my 5KG bottle last me 2 to 3 month. But honestly it is in very small quantity and you really need to look for it so it don't really bother me.

Good luck in the AGA too, Alex.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks. Actually I wasn't going to enter but you told me to on the AE forum and I thought what the hell why not. Will be interesting to get the feed back anyway.

Wow Super Sexy,

That's what I think every time I shave...Just kidding thank you.

Species of Hairgrass do you have? eveyones seems smaller to mine

They just been trimmed, but I've got Eleocharis Parvula on the foreground and at the back Accicularis and Vivipara.

is the purpose of your inlet to you canister to reduce the surface scum Via the whirlpool?

I'm not sure to understand the question but I've the foam on the inlet for the shrimps don't end up in the filter if it's what you ask.

p.s I'm totally jelous of your tank smile.gif

Once again don't be jealous. It's only a hobby.

Thanks for answering the questions,
when I speak of the inlet Im looking at the Closeup of the glass lilly, To me it looks like its created a mini whirlpool so I thought its sucking in. and wondered if thats the reduce surface film

The lily pipe is the outlet for water, the shape of the lily pipe induces the whirlpool which pulls the water surface down into the aquarium and will usually (so I read!) reduce/remove surface scum as it does this.

Thanks for answering the questions,

You are welcome.

Nry, answer the question pretty well. The lilly pipe do a good job for braking the protein film with out degazing to much witch anyway does bother me to much as to refill of my 5Kg bottle cost CY£10 and CY£5 for the 3kg.

Beautiful tank alexandre, Good luck in the competition!

Thanks, but I only enter AGA for the fun and the comments of the jury. This aquascape will never win anything, there is nothing new, easy plants etc... and I think the level will be quiet high this year. The only way I can win some thing is if Cyprus do an aquascaping contest and I will probably be the only contestant any way  .

A morning photos session, so there are some reflections and the colors are not very good.

Absolutely stunning! My only comment would be that the central front planting looks a little messy, but I really like this tank overall - it just works! Oh, and I think the colours are pretty good!

Thanks nry and The muleous.

@ nry: What don't you like, the Juncus behind the Crypts?

I done a few changes, hope it's for the better.
