Alex's 150l

If I can add why 0.02p worth, I think the wood dominates to much, slightly shorter wood might help enhance the illusion of size, which is somewhat compromised by the wood at the moment, to my eye at least :)

But you're right about the crypts needing to fill out, that might help in the long run or just having the wood positioned lower in the tank i.e. push it more into the gravel to lower it a bit.

@ Themuleous.
Thanks for your input. Do you think the wood was better in the first picture?
I do agree the wood look a bit bulky. It still floating a bit so every time I knock it has tendency to go up.
To be honest, I start to be tired to mess with it (a month).
If I don't manage some thing half decent in the next few weeks I will start all over.

@ DevUK.
I got the wood from a shop here in Cyprus, they received 3 palettes of it, so I had the choice, maybe to much choice. After discount, I paid £6 for each. But it is in Cyprus, sorry. If you know some one who come on holiday here, I will be happy to arrange some thing for you.

Ahh ok. Just wondered if it was called anything specific, like here we have AquaEssentials selling "red moor wood" and of course the usual "bogwood" "driftwood" "bog oak" "mangrove root" etc.

Thanks for the info though :)

I am not hundred % sure, but I believe it is red moor wood like the one AE sell.

Here are the news, I redone most hove it. I broke my lilly pipe a couple of weeks ago, at 3am and got a nice shower. My harms was to short to stick my finger on the bit of pipe left and with the other hand open the cabinet and pull the plug of the 2028... I had to let it go... I must I have woke up few neighbours by my sweet french swearing. :look:
Anyway thanks god we have AE. So I got the Aquili one, pretty good quality.

Check the ventury, well design.

Your critics are as usual welcome.

Superb Alexandre, has developed into a top notch scape, it would give most scapes in the ADA aquascaping contest a run for their money.

Sam

Wow, that is great, have you entered it into the AGA?

That's great, good luck with the AGA, I'm sure you'll do very well, the judges will love it!

I really like it.

The hairgrass is beautiful.

How often do you prune it?

Have you ever thinned it out?

Do you get traces of algae amongst the blades of grass?

I normally do, due to low circulation down there. The only tank I didn't was my nano, because there was 16x turnover!

Good luck in the AGA too, Alex.

Keep up the good work!

Wow Super Sexy,
Species of Hairgrass do you have? eveyones seems smaller to mine :p

is the purpose of your inlet to you canister to reduce the surface scum Via the whirlpool?

p.s I'm totally jelous of your tank :)
