Thanks, I know yer I can't wait for the plants to spread and hopefully carpet. The stems are already at the waters surface and everything is still nice and green. About half way through cycling at the moment, just added the second lot of ammonia and waiting for nitrites to drop :hyper: :good:

Heres a comparison shot: Left was a few days ago, right was day 1

That's the first thing I noticed actually. They look much better buried a little. The wood is in a better position as well. It really looks like a tree now. Are you planning more plants other then the carpet? {the carpet in there around the tree would be great}

That's kinda the reason I chose dwarf hairgrass so that hopefully it will naturally sprout up everywhere and I didn't plant much under the tree as the light is kinda limited but there are a couple of little shoots under there that I had left over. It's not really noticeable on the pics but there is some xmas moss wrapped round parts of the tree so hopefully that bulk it out a bit too.

Getting the ammonia from 4.0 to 0 in around 12 hours so just the nitrites now. Can't wait to get some stock in there. Hair grass is growing well I have to trim every two days.

Following this one!
nice scaping there!
cannot wait for the wood and plant to look like a mini tree!

Thanks means a lot. Yer I can't either but I might have to swap to using java moss as the Pogostemon Helferi doesn't seem to be doing very well. I think it needs to go in the substrate under direct light, shame really because I makes good tree leaves but no point killing it huh
