Adding A New Filter

Well, I just got a new filter (fluval u4) and placed it in my 240litre to replace that crap juwel filter that comes with every juwel aquarium

So, the question is simple ( I should probably know the answer lol ). How long will I keep both of them running until I remove the juwel and have the fluval running by itself i.e cycled

I would just remove the media from your old filter and use that old media in the new filter.

what do you mean?? they have different sponges, could i squeeze the media into a bowl or basin and basically clean the new sponges in it??
