If you're a bird, I'm a bird
I went to pick up my son from preschool this afternoon and they had gotten a fish tank It was one of those aquaview 1 gallons so I'm thinking betta right? Wrong
This one gallon tank has a blue gourami, an irredescent shark, and this massive tadpole I mentioned how big they get and didn't get a heck of a lot as far as a response
So, I'm now at home and thinking about it and I realized that for one, I'm going to have to look at this everyday when I drop off and pick up my little boy. And two, he's going to be looking at it too and he's a smart kid. He shouldn't have to watch animal abuse as part of his curriculum
I decided to go ahead and call the director and express my concerns. She was wonderful. I told her that I would be happy to make a trade with them as I have many many bettas that would love that tank. I also said that I would be happy to help them set up a larger tank if they really wanted the gourami or were set on a community She thought the first option was a great idea.
So, I'll throw that gourami in my ever increasing mismash of a 29 gal and I suppose the shark can go in the 150. Obviously still not ideal, but better then a 1 gallon. I just wish stores would quit selling giant fish
Just wanted to share with some people who would actually understand
