yes, but i doesnt make your life any easier when it comes to cleaning the substrate.

IME, I'd never keep tiger barbs with any of the tetras suggested, and they don't get much less aggressive to other fish when kept in larger groups. When they're younger, they're not very nippy, but once fully matured, they're pesky as hell. I also wouldn't keep them with cories. A pleco of sorts would work.

That's a really good point actually, I should have remembered from my own experiences that corys don't mix with tigers, my bronze corys had all their dorsal fins nipped off when I had my tigers, which was my main reason for getting rid of them. Hummmm this is why tigers are so hard to mix with anything else / I found the best solution was to have none and enjoy a bigger array of fish.
