90L Tank

Again, depends on the fish! Depends on whether the fish you want need to be in a school or solo, are timid or aggressive or predatory, etc etc.

Do you have any ideas at all what you might like, anything you've seen online or in the shops that takes your fancy?

There are so many different things you could do - I could suggest one thing, Louise could suggest another, then someone else chips in with another suggestion, and then someone else, and someone else, and someone else, and so on ad nauseam. You'd end up with so much, potentially conflicting advice, that you wouldn't know what to do.

Rather than ask the forum to do your thinking for you, have a browse around your LFSs, and see what takes your fancy - you've already been given some good advice regarding the barbs, so take that on-board, see what else you would quite like to do, and post it up. People will then be able to say yay or nay, and perhaps give some linked suggestions. Questions such as yours are too broad.

Hope this helps. :good:

I think my tank needs a bit of colour added to it. obviously the penguin tetras and the tiger barbs are not that colourful but the neons add a bit of colour.

I have no idea how platies would get along with the tiger barbs since I've never kept the barbs myself, but I don't see why you couldn't add a few platies. Add all males if you don't want any breeding, or 1 male to 2-3 females otherwise. I wouldn't add a huge amount, maybe 3-5 considering the size of your tank.

Ok thanks for the advice :). Apparently the tiger barbs take care of any fry.

would they be ok in a tank like mine?

Looking at the stock in your signature, my worry would be the tiger barbs, especially if you get hi-fin platies. From what I've read Tiger Barbs are nasty little blighters, I've always avoided them. Platies won't bother anything, possibly apart from each other.

yes i thought about that. The tiger barbs don't seem to nip the other fish but then again the other fish have short fins.

Have you come across a forum member called Tizer? I believe he had a large group which he took back to the LFS because they were such violent things. You need something that is going to be able to look after itself. Convicts, perhaps? Dunno.

I think i have come across that name. For me though i think taking the tiger barbs back would be a last resort :(
