8 New Bettas And A Whole New Problem :/

Well i picked up 8 new bettas today (7 Female, 1 Male) for £12.50 got them cheap as there a bit battered nothing clean water won't sort though.

The females are tiny, i was a bit hesitant in putting them with Pearl my existing female

The male is currently in a breeder trap until i can sort a tank for him

Now heres the new problem Pearl my female is actually male and has been living in a tank with another male for around a year with no trouble, i really was not expecting this to happen, now i need to find a way to divide my 2 8gals to house all 4 males i have and there bowfronted

i got a video of the new male and 'pearl' flaring at each other, will upload it shortly

Ps pearl now needs a more manly name

New boy ovb he has a lot of fin damage poor guy think he's Polo's brother, they arrived together. He is tiny, his eyes look too big for him

Not sure how to divide the tanks, might be worth buying another one if posable.

if i had the space then i would happily give them a tank each but i don't sadly i wasn't banking on coming home with a new boy either

i had a divider in 5 gallon bowfront for a while!!!! just a store bought screen and the strips that go against the glass...

He is, i can't understand how he's male though, him and prince have lived together for about a year no trouble what so ever, infact they were always together

even now he flares at the new male but not Prince or the females, i don't think he likes white bettas dispite the fact him and Prince are Lilac

Struggling to find a mesh to fit the tank, its tall but not very wide

Well i think i found some mesh with enough height so when it arrives i will be putting Prince and Pearl in one 8 gal, and Polo and the new boy in the other

The pygmy cories will have a run in the 15gal to save spliting them up

i will try get some more of the girls now thet've settled a bit, a few still have stress stripes now and then (mainly mornings) they all look pretty similar
