8 Gallon Nano

How does the whole cycling thing work with live rock. Does it need time to go through the whole Ammonia, Nitrite spike thing before the tank is cycled, or does the LR deal with them from the start? Slight hijack but the question has kind of been asked and not answered, and i'm kinda curious too.

Otherwise, lovely tank! :good:

It really depends on how well the LR is cured, and how much die off there is when introduced into your tank - but it usually goes through the ammonia, nitrite spikes.

If the LR is well cured then you may not have a cycle.

Which I think may be the case with mine, would i be safe to do a water change just now and introduce the Clean Up Crew?

Its been 9 days now with no traces of ammonia or nitrite, Nitrate is at approx 2.5
