75 Gallon Rebuild.

The water cleared up  . It does this every day. Cloudy in the morning and clear in the evening. And also my protean skimmer is running just like it normally does, but it doesnt foam up into the cup. It just runs. Is it possible that it pulled everything out of the water?

As long as the water level on the skimmer is set correctly, there is nothing to worry about. On MOST skimmers, yo want the water level to be right at the bottom of the neck of the collection cup.

It is. This is what frustrates me. Its been doing this for a while now.

Well today I made some new additions and rescaped a bit. I was given a few corals too.
First off the rescape(notice the lowered amount of algea) :hey:

He also had this flowerpot coral which he had brought back from the brink of death. It is really healthy now.

All comments are welcome. By the way I love critics.

I got a suprise in the mail today. My cousin sent me some zoa polyps and some mushrooms :hyper: . Here are some pictures. Sorry for the quality.
The mushrooms.

And here are the zoas

They had several types of caulerpa and some red looking algae. Should I leave it on them? Could it possibly help control nitrates and phosphates?

caulerpa will help, but it needs to be trimmed fairly regularly otherwise it can go sexual and potentially nuke the tank (ask llj about this!)

Thanks. I actually had forgotten that

I heard that turning off the lights for 24 hours will kill cyano. Should I do it? Will it hurt my corals?
