The Cory's are the species I'd like the most, they're so hard to find around here it's unbelievable, I've only ever seen Hastatus out of the 3 smaller species, I've been to most local LFS's looking for them, and the last 2 on the list before I order online are East Midlands Aquatics in Trowell (some guy set up a store in a large garage and apparently he has some nice stuff) and Bardills in Stapleford. I'll nip into MA at Trowell whilst I'm in Trowell as it's about 500M from East Midlands Aquatics and see if they have any, if not I'll either see if they can order some in or buy online.

You're not really close enough to me to make a trip here worthwhile are you? My lfs won't order them in - they have high death rate cuz they tend not to travel well (apparently) but there's a guy locally who breeds them, so they are trying to get me a dozen from him. Probably be too far for you to travel though.

Bradford is a little out of the way for me, no luck with the Corydoras, but Bardills could still have some...If not the guy I went to today said he could order some for me.

Anyway, I went to East Midlands Aquatics and for saying it's all done in a garage and it looks pretty basic, the stock is impressive, there is an extensive variety, he even had rays! I came back with 8 Ember Tetra's, 6 Cherry Shrimp and a Bristlenose Pleco all for £20, so not too bad!

I've found the plant eating culprit, I have no idea how it even got in my tank but it's a Sulawesi snail.

Here we go, the latest FTS...E.acicularis is gone and has been replaced with C.nevelii, Thanks Ian.

The Willow Moss Ian sent me hasn't been added yet, I'm after more wood so I'll look for a suitable piece tomorrow, and it'll be added to that I think.

The Ember Tetra's look great, I think there is something like 18 in there now, not sure as it's hard to count them! The buggers wouldn't school properly for the photo...typical!

It's on one side but at an angle as below:

A weird set up but my LED's will be here next week so I can crack on with building a new lighting unit.

Still no habrosus or Apisto's , so I came home got on my bike and went for a ride round a small farming village a few miles away, and low and behold there was a sign outside a small cottage saying fish for sale, so I went in and there were a few tanks with fry in and they were selling Corydoras panda fry for 50P each, so I took 6. Riding back with them was a little tricky but they're acclimatising now, they're about 2-3cm big, and I've never kept them before so I thought why not.

Hopefully these breed for me, I've missed having Corydoras!
