What did you use to plant them? Super glue, rubber bands, or string?

Saw, i used fishing line to secure in the windelov.

Meanwhile, the ammonia is at 2ppm still. My driftwood is covered in spots of fungus.

This morning I noticed something on my anubias nana, and I thought it was so tiny, that it wasnt even alive, but it turns out it is a snail. I think it's a ramshorn, but I can't be sure. It is around 1.5mm long, and for size comparisons, here it is in an API test tube.

I think he's quite cute, whatever he is. I might keep him :)

So I realise now that my cycle hasnt actually started...because my filter has been off at night because I cannot sleep with it on....
Lets just say if I want fish during the school holidays (Next 4 weeks) then im just going to tough it out.

Anyway, that one snail I found? I found three more. They're OK for now, there's plenty of fungus and algae for them to eat :)

Im pretty sure their asexual reproducers and well get ALL over your tank with enough food, i used to have TONS in my 75 gallon, id think their going away because i got some assassin snails, but then all the eggs hatch that i cant even see and then theres thousands.... So yea not the best snails/

Lol, they're okay for now... but sadly my country have no assassin snails. They're only small atm :) Growing fast though...

Anyways had the filter on for a night... managed to sleep alright, woke up a few times, but probably due to daylight savings. Hope it will get easier to fall asleep :p

Brought another light, so thats going to up the wattage to 22 :) Hopefully this will be beneficial to the plants, and good for night viewing, as it is blue :) Should get here in two days, on friday

Light arrived! Ive put two pictures together so you can see the difference in lighting... the tank doesnt look blue at all with the light....thanks tannins

Looks great!

How is your cycle going?
Definitely leave you filter on 24/7, your cycle will take forever otherwise.

"Hey look! Its at .25ppm!" "Told you to turn the heater off" "Oh wait, I  have to let it sit" ;)
