Yay sand! :D

It looks lovely.

Thanks to my impatience, I have done another WC, this time 95%. Put a plastic sheet on the bottom so I did not disturb the sand, and this is the result.

The mini sun that you might see is my lamp. I was using it so I can see while doing the waterchange :)

That is a LOT clearer! Good job :)

I have started cycling as of yesterday, using 3ppm of ammonia. Filter will be turned off each night until I fix it (It doesn't seem to fit properly so is making noise)
Will do a water test tomorrow

Picture of ammonia results after adding 7mL of Cloudy Ammonia:

Let's hope after the cycle the ammonia reading is never that high :p

Water has tannins. Temperature is 30 degrees Celsius.

Day three of the cycle:
Ammonia reading: Looks like 2.0ppm (Or even 3.0)
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nirtate: 0 ppm

I'm pretty sure (Maybe not, as its hard to tell the colour) that the ammonia level is at 2 ppm.

I've trained myself to see only green, yellow, and not yellow enough lol all the levels of green don't seem to matter so much since it's all in a sense the same thing...bad.

Yay! I told you the plastic sheet would work! Looking great, cant wait to see you plant it! Also, look for java fern windelov, you may enjoy that! ;)

Day five of the cycle :)
Ammonia: 2ppm for sure this time.
Nitrate: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm

Still working out planting list (Done research this time!)
Anubias Nana for the driftwood.
Ambulia for backround plant.

I am open to suggestions! But please note not everything is available in my country :) Read this link to see the basics of what we have:

My tank is 60cm deep and only has 11w of light... I might up it to 22w, but im not sure, because the light socket is dodgy.
Will be dosing Flourish as well :)

Day six of the cycle ( as I forgot to turn my filter on yesterday)

Ammonia is still 2ppm.

Might not post until tomorrow, or Monday, as Cyclone Lusi might cut off the power :)
