4 dead fish at the same time same species HELP!!’

This morning I’ve woke up to 4 dead cardinals at the same time.
Tetras
Lamp eye
Ottos
Plec
Clown loaches
Are all fine and seem happy, eating swimming around.
All levels are absolutely perfect.

no bites or bits missing.
was all swimming around last night before lights out.

just in the middle of a 70% water change in case of toxins

anything thing else I should look for

Do you have any ammonia\nitrite in the water? Have you done a water change and forgot dechlorinator?

dechlorinate with aqua safe every time

all my cardinals and neons have suffered

Loaches don’t seem interested and neither does my lamp eye

Friday night before lights out all fine and feeding.
this morning cardinals floating and neons very slow and not eating.
tonight neons floating, clown loaches not interested in food, lamp eye not interested but swimming around like normal.

Once you rule out water parameters, things get complicated.. A bacterial infection could do it, any signs of mouth/finrot or white/discoloured patches on skin? Have you added new fish recently?

Nope no signs of anything like that.
a few days ago I posted that the water had white bits in it, that’s gone now although slightly cloudy (white).

nothing new added since 8th October.

A bacterial infection is most likely, most other diseases don't kill fast. But its impossible to rule out contaminants like chlorine, aerosols, something on your hands getting in to the water.
Have you used any chemicals near the fish tank?
Just incase, any gulping on the surface? Oxygen deficiency is a quick killer.

Had nitrites rise to .5 last week so been every day 50% till Thursday when levels zeroed out. Did a 70% dump this morning incase of toxins in the water, all levels was the same as tonight.
before cleaning I wash my hands with antibacterial hand wash and hot water, dry, wash with hot water (no soap),dry then clean the tank.
