Hi all

Am downsizing following a recent disaster in my tank. This was in use up until a couple of days ago so in full working order.

Full spec including measurements attached in pics but it is a 30g/112 litres Diversa, has only been used for a year. No issues or glass defects. Will also come with mat to go underneath.

Based in Surrey, south east England for collection only. Will also be advertising on ebay but thought I'd try my luck here.

Lcc, please don’t let what happened knock your confidence. I don’t want you to make a rash decision that you soon regret.
Your posts show a conscientious fish keeper who does everything you can for your fish.
Some of the replies you had on your threads have not been helpful and any criticism is not valid.
You were just unlucky, bigger tanks are easier to keep stable and I think you would miss this one. If you stocked it with fish that matched your water hardness it would be simpler than your previous set up.

Thank you both, I do appreciate it! I've left the frogs in the QT tank and as there are just the three I was thinking of leaving them in there. I don't have anywhere to store it long-term so maybe if it doesn't sell I can ask family to store it for me. I am probably a bit too soft as I know sometimes deaths are inevitable but to have the whole tank wiped out has left me quite gutted.

I still have my frog and betta tanks though so not quitting entirely!

When I set up my first tank, I was so careful. It was the winter of 2022. I had finished cycling my new tank and added my beautiful fish. Then there was a terrible power outage that lasted four days. The temperature in my house fell to 45°F and the tank temperature fell to 50°F. All of my fish died. I was depressed but then decided that this hobby was too fulfilling to let go.

It is hard when we lose fish, but I found it harder to be without fish too. We live, and we learn from our mistakes, but we keep going forward. I have taken time off from the hobby before, but I always end up coming back. Fishkeeping gives so much peace and pleasure.

Thanks all. I definitely don't want to give the hobby up altogether that's for sure. I may have been hasty potentially (it's one of my many faults!), I'll see if it sells, if not I'll see if family can store the tank for me. My brother in law was talking about setting up a tank a few years back, not sure what happened to that idea but perhaps I could try and get him into the hobby :p
