2024 NFL Discussion

Ravens/Bengals... Ya, on the two point conversion by the Bengals there was an obvious defensive holding that was not called but I can't understand not kicking the extra point to tie the game. From my point of view you have to go for the tie and hit overtime. Even if the two point conversion was good and the Bengals won my opinion would still be to tie the game.

Is KC a 'team of destiny'? They lost to Denver yet still won the game with a blocked field goal at the end which I sort of question.

I watched that play over and over on NFL.com and can't say for fact but it sure looks like a rusher made direct contact with the long snapper which is actually a defensive penalty which would have given Denver another, even shorter, kick attempt. I may be wrong as to what I think I see but it sure looked to be the case.

Still it is KC whom I see as today's Patriots in their heyday. With back to back Super Bowls and undefeated they are going to get the benefit of doubt in any close call.

At least my Browns didn't lose... bye week. ;)

My Eagles won over Dallas today! Turnovers were a concern early, but we got to rest our starters in the 4th quarter. We play the former skins Thurs. I'm a bit worried but always hopeful!

Lions/Texans game on Sunday night was quite entertaining to watch. Early in the game the Texans led by 23 to 7. But the Lions scored 19 unanswered points in the 2nd half to win 26 to 23. There were 7 turnovers in the game. Crazy game.

Since I'm from MI, I always hold Detroit in a special, hopeful place even after all these years, LOL Unless they're playing the Eagles...

I was surprised how many more points the Texans scored early. I didn't pay too much attention until later.

Well, next Thursday, I actually get to watch the Browns/Steelers game live on Prime instead of just listening to the radio broadcast. On the other hand, with how both are playing, I'm not sure if that is actually a good thing. ;)

Read yesterday that yesterday was the first time in history that the Lions have been mathematical favourites to win the SB! Unfortunately the game is played on grass* and not on a carpet of pocket calculators**.

*shows age.
** shows age again.

Cmon the Lions.

I don't get my Browns! Going into tonight's game they are 2-8 and they beat the Steelers to go to 3-8. Only three wins yet two are against the Steelers and Ravens. :dunno:
