God i miss the old days....Chief Wahoo will always be what I remember Cleveland as. I've been trying to get a fitted Chief Wahoo hat forever, I should have bought some right when they changed their name.

Question I'd LOVE to get a reasonable answer... Why, if extra innings in the regular season is the best way to go, do they not do it in the post season???

I do not at all like the regular season starting extra innings with a runner on second. Ya, I know, it is designed to make the game shorter but I don't like it. Just makes it too easy to score. Sac fly or bunt and a runner is already on third. Another sac fly or bunt and you score. To me it just takes away from the game.

I am also against the DH as it takes a lot of strategy away from the game; turns a chess match into a game of checkers.

When it comes to baseball, at 70 years old, I guess I'm just old school. ;)

Oh well, good season Cleveland especially for a team that was given zero chance to make the playoffs at the beginning of the season. Just don't understand why they changed how they use their bullpen. :dunno:

Because Manfred is a dum dum (dumb-dumb)..

I was rooting for you guys, not a Yankees fan. Our bats got hot and now we're in the WS! Scored a record amount of runs for a series, can't believe it. Ohtani is 18/22 with runners in scoring position. Absolutely amazing. Edman is also going nuts and kike is doing what he always does in the playoffs. Hopefully Dodgers can beat the yanks but I'm still worried about our lack of pitching.

Funny hearing the announcers essentially root for the Mets the entire series. Non bias my ass

Well only time will if the Dodgers Freeman will ever have a bust in Cooperstown but I think his walk-off grand slam in game one of the World Series will guarantee him at least a plaque in the Hall Of Fame.

Boone lost that game for the Yankees. he made 3 reallt bad decisions.

1. He should have left cole in for another inning. He can go over 88 pitches easily and was doing well.
2. He should have walked Ohtani in the 8th instead of letting him end up on 3rd base.
3. He should nevee have walked Betts in the 10th even after making mistake 1 and 2. Betts had done nothing except the scacrifice rbi of Ohtani in the 8th which he would not have been able to do had Ohtani beens walked in the 8th.

Had he not made mistakes 1 & 2 above he never would have had to use either Cousins and especially Nestor who had not pitched in over a month. I have never been a fan of Boone as a manager. He is a big step down from the likes of Torre and Gerardi.

Man, what a game!!! Lets go Freddie! Kinda a traitor cause I am a braves fan but wow, grand slam to win it all! Still one of the most consistent hitters in the game, a great baller.

Congrats to the Dodgers. :) I really had no pokers in the fire but it is part of the 'Cleveland fan charter' to hate the Yankees ;)

I honestly did not expect to even be able to compete this year with the tattered condition of the pitching staff. Bullpen games in the playoffs aren't usually successful long term. The Yankees meltdown in game 5 was epic too and helped seal their own fate, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Now Soto is asking to be paid more then Ohtani? Thing is there's probably some team out there desperate enough to do it..

Speaking of Shohei Ohtani, I talk to a lady a lot in my apartments that is also very into baseball. While I have in now way done anything to check this out she told me that she read that they were considering putting him back in the pitching rotation next year with him as DH when not pitching.

On the surface the above sounds great but also makes me wonder if he would need more 'rest days' between pitching starts. Granted that pitching and bating are totally different in relation to the arm but it just makes me wonder if it would really work.

That's what he did with the Angels he hit and pitched. He won the mvp doing just that. I don't think they'll want him stealing bases like he did this year but they will have him do it in key situations.

I'm still in shock over sotos contract demands. I mean this guy thinks he's Barry Bonds. If I was him I'd take less to stay in New York with that short porch in right. If he goes somewhere like Seattle or Toronto his numbers won't look near as good. He's not Bonds but he thinks he is. If I was pitching I'd hit him right between his numbers every time he stared me down or did that stupid little shimmy, the guys a clown. I would be upset if I was one of his teammates because right after game 5 he was already talking about all 30 teams had a shot at getting him he was going to the highest bidder. I mean right after game 5...no class whatsoever and maybe I'm just old school but keep that to yourself. Your teammates are hurting and now you're talking about leaving already minutes after the biggest loss of the year, unbelievable.

Theres talk of him going to the Dodgers too. The dodgers would be crazy to sign him bevause hes not a clubhouse guy. Teoscar Hernandez should be the guy they sign.
