And Cleveland moves on to the ALCS against the Yankees.
Question I'd LOVE to get a reasonable answer... Why, if extra innings in the regular season is the best way to go, do they not do it in the post season???
I do not at all like the regular season starting extra innings with a runner on second. Ya, I know, it is designed to make the game shorter but I don't like it. Just makes it too easy to score. Sac fly or bunt and a runner is already on third. Another sac fly or bunt and you score. To me it just takes away from the game.
I am also against the DH as it takes a lot of strategy away from the game; turns a chess match into a game of checkers.
When it comes to baseball, at 70 years old, I guess I'm just old school.
Congrats to the Dodgers. I really had no pokers in the fire but it is part of the 'Cleveland fan charter' to hate the Yankees
Speaking of Shohei Ohtani, I talk to a lady a lot in my apartments that is also very into baseball. While I have in now way done anything to check this out she told me that she read that they were considering putting him back in the pitching rotation next year with him as DH when not pitching. Now Soto is asking to be paid more then Ohtani? Thing is there's probably some team out there desperate enough to do it..

On the surface the above sounds great but also makes me wonder if he would need more 'rest days' between pitching starts. Granted that pitching and bating are totally different in relation to the arm but it just makes me wonder if it would really work.
