2023-2024 NFL Discussion

Haha! Wishful thinking. 🤓
That is most likely quite true and I don't expect the Pats to beat the Steelers but then, last week I didn't expect Cinci to beat the Jags or for Denver to win over Cleveland. LOL! That's why they play the games. ;)

Annnnnd, come week 15, we will also have the NFL on Saturday. LOL! I may get yelled at but, as far as I'm concerned, they could get rid of the NBA and NHL and just split the year in half between the NFL and MLB. ;)

Both teams have great defense but poor offense. Both teams will have a backup quarterback playing. I expect a boring low scoring game. I may fall asleep watching this one.
Personally I rather like low scoring defensive games. I would much rather watch a 13-10 game than a 35-10 game. 35-30 type games are fun but I'd still prefer the low scoring defensive ones. LOL! Of course that is all out the window if my Browns were to win 35-10. ;)

DANG! I totally forgot about it and, as I'm retired Navy, it is mandatory that I watch. :(

Edit for content>

Army is a slight favorite to win by 3 points

What's all this stuff about NFL teams?

After many years of getting back to breeding bettas and living in Northern California, what do you think I would choose?

What's Red and Gold and symbolic of 49er Colors?

Finally, a decent NFL game that could be worth watching tomorrow night- Eagles-Cowboys.

Oh well. :( Navy lost. They just made too many mistakes and Army was methodical and efficient. Still Navy had a late chance being stopped on 4th and goal a half yard short of a possibly tying TD with 2 seconds left. Technically Navy lost by 6 but it was really by 8. Army just took the last 2 seconds to run out the clock and then take a safety with time expired. That was really a smart move.

As to what all this stuff about the NFL is about is that this is an NFL thread. The primary purpose of this site is fish but it is also a community with allowance for other topics.

As to the second line I can't actually say that I understand the question. :dunno: Choose what? Is it a choice between fish and the NFL? Can't one like both?

As to the 49ers colors I can't really say but on a quick search it seems that the red (actually crimson) is supposed to denote faith, determination, effort and such. It seems that the gold is in reference to the old time gold miners from which the name '49ers' is reported to originate.

Sorry I stepped on your thread and lack of humor. My post was tongue in cheek. Maybe others will find it funny (or not) but your response is noted.
