Wheeee tannins. I threw some banana plants in and a little spring of water sprite and an anubias. The middle and right piece have sunk, the left piece is half sunk.

 

 

 
I forget if this is an algae or fungus? Common for new bits of wood. It'll go away on it's own right?

Yeah they're just floating there. I didn't put them there either, I just stuck them in and they floated to that position

RE Wood: its fungus and yep its a natural part of the process and harmless.

Thanks! Will it just go away or do I need to scrub it? Also arghh noticed last night we got duckweed in there

Oh no about the duckweed! But it will go away or you could put it in another tank for a day or two and let the snails at it. They love it

Duckweed is no issue, just scoop it out.
 
You can scrub it if you want, but it will come back until its ready to stop

It got in there cause I have it in my other tanks Thank you! I can't wait either. Wish bama would get restocked already! :c

Yeah will do, just don't feel like it right now. I was just like arrgh cause I don't recall having it on me..sneaky stuff!
