Do you still have the fly river turtle in there ?

with new born ray pups in the main tank it was far to risky to keep the FRT he was getting snappy even to adult rays and nipping at the tails

turtles and fish dont mix no matter what size tank you have

as for filming breeding it normally takes place at night and i dont sleep in the hut

they have bred again

incredible, just incredible!!

i bet the money you get from selling the ray pups comes in very handy. looks a very expensive set up to run.

Wow. What an amazing setup. Hope that someday I can have something close to this!!! Wish I could come see it for myself! Thank you so much for sharing.

Absolutely incredible! Yes, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more updates in the future.

i am still shocked this has been running 2 years time has gone so fast

i not a buyer and seller and still have most of the fish i started with

this is how long i have had each fish

big siamese tiger fish 8 years
asian arowana 4 years
3 x p14 sting rays from new born pups which i bred 4 years
leo bd female 1.5 years
leo bd male 10 months
tigrinus cat 5 years
red tail tinfoils 3 years
16inch indo tiger fish 2 years
12inch indo tiger fish 2 year

i just sold my big gold tin foils which i had had for 3 years as i want a shoal of the red fins

thats a long time to own fish and people dont understand how big and long some live for

the big siamese tiger and aro can live up to 20 years so big preds are a long term comitment

I love this tank, and its great that you're keeping the thread updated.

If it was mine, i think i would go with large catfish over rays - but thats what i like about fish keeping - each unto their own!

Am I right in thinking you're not on a water meter? wonder what the weekly cost would be if you were!

no water meter and i use 1400 gal per week which is not much only 7 baths if they put me on a meter i wont shower

the good thing about rays is they give you some money back last year i had 5 x p14 babys which sold for £500 each and 3 x p14 x bd ray pups which sold for £400 each = £3700 i would like to see you get that return from large cats

i have never bred barbs before so its my turn to ask advice

they are big size 10inch and they swim like this all the time
