i have a questin for all you fish gurus out there. my dad was in the navy and when he went over to china he got a 100 gal. fish tank. my quaetion is how expansive its it and how much work is it??? :/ thanks

if he got it ask hi how much it was. and to for the work part you have to fo a 30% water change a week. so thats 30 gallons to change a week.

oh wow more then i thought it would be. i have no clue how much he bought if for but its nice its have a bambo covered stant its sits in.

You will get more help in Tropical Chit Chat, moved to there. :)

For how much work a tank is, it depends a lot on how stocked it is and your filtration. You would not need to change 30% a week unless your tank was highly stocked.

I change that much in my 160l but not in my other which have less fish in them (for the tank size).

If you have not many fish and good filtration, some people change it monthly. More often is better in m opinion but at least you wouldn't have to do it.

Fishkeeping is something that people can really enjoy and a problem that many have when they start is too small a tank (harder to maintain) and usually the wrong fish (too large or too many). With a big tank like that, it would be easier.

Beware though, it is very addictive!!
