10 year old leaf fish died today

Today, after approximately 10 years, Walter the leaf fish passed away. He/she lived amazingly long.

Actually he’s probably closer to 11 or so, because I got him in 2020 and he was 8 then

It’s an incorrect common name. They’re not even related to each other. Leaffish are in the families Nandidae, Polycentridae and Pristolepidae. Bushfish are Ctenopoma, in the family Anabantidae.
Poor lass has just lost a dear pet...can we give her a hug today and educate her tomorrow please? 😅

Interesting! The Georgia aquarium and multiple other sites list this as another common name.

I appreciate it cap, but I’m actually not too upset about it, 11 years is a crazy good life for one of these guys. :) always interested to learn more
