10 year old leaf fish died today

Today, after approximately 10 years, Walter the leaf fish passed away. He/she lived amazingly long.

Actually he’s probably closer to 11 or so, because I got him in 2020 and he was 8 then

That’s a drag . I’ve never had any fish live that long and have heard of very few living that long so you had a unique experience with Walter . Treasure the memory .

It’s an incorrect common name. They’re not even related to each other. Leaffish are in the families Nandidae, Polycentridae and Pristolepidae. Bushfish are Ctenopoma, in the family Anabantidae.
