10 gallon setup for $10!

I bought a 10g setup from a garage sale for $10! I was so happy! It came with the tank, hood, light,(still working), a heater which i plugged in on accident, a rock arch, two corny plants (green and blue), and a HUGE gravel vacume. I'm going to walmart tomarrow for gravel substrate and a filter. Now I need suggestions on what to put in it! I was thinking 2 kribs (edt - rule out krib idea), or a school of neons and a pair of guppies. But I'd like to hear what you all have to say for opinions .

ps- the vacume IS on my sleeping shorts

I would get bettas (divided like betta_lova said) or some corys and a couple of platies or tetra or something.
