Can anyone tell whats wrong with my fish in this picture? I thought it was Ick, but I treated for that 2 days now and doesn't look any better.

Question the Ick medicaine I have says to treat 1 drop per gallon, but for tetras 1 drop per 2 gallons. How should I treat, with tetras in the tank?

Thanks, I will treat the whole tank! I have also been reading on different sites that raising the temp to 85 will kill it? Is this safe for my other fish? (Also forgot to mention I have a few otto cats). Also should I add salt aswell?

I would think it could still be possible, and that it would take a few days for the food to rot before you saw any readings. Just make sure they are eating it all, if any is going uneaten and laying on the substrate, it's too much.

The dorsal (top) fin of the female is short and rounded, while the male has a longer dorsal that comes to a point :) If it is still very young though, it is challenging to know for sure.

If it's a freshwater planted tank. The best options are always to have 1 white and a pink. There is no need for the blue, they are used for corals in a saltwater tank.

Does anyone else have a problem with these causing micro-bubbles in the tank, making the water not look as nice? I have never used them before with my other tanks, but I got it for free and I really don't like the micro-bubbles. I thought at first the filter just wasn't doing a good job clearing...

I think I have some of that growing on my java moss, not sure what it is but looks very simular. Never been an issue tbh.

Water is 0, 0, and 20 nirate. I will try adding some tetras within the next few days. Would rummy nose tetras be okay in 80 degree water?

I finished cycling my tank a few days ago and got 1 pair of apistogrammas, 3 oto cats, and 2 male german blue rams. The first 2 days the apistogrammas and the rams pretty much hid and didn't eat much. Today, the third day now, the apistogrammas were out a little bit more and the male rams...

By the way, I cant decide on tetras that I want to add. I was thinking rummy nosed?

The otos will do just fine. There is plenty of algae from cycling that they have been eating already. I will give algae waffers probably every other day.

My 30 gallon tank has been finished cycling for a couple days now and I just got to the lfs today! Here is what I got so far :) 2 male geram blue rams: 1 male, 1 female apistogramma orange: 3 oto cats:

I love my rams as well, but I would suggest not adding another. Would be too cramped for the tank size :(

The males could possibly be killing each other for the females. I know they will shred each others fins to nothing. How many of each gender are left?

The males are competing for the females. They will bit each others fins with females in there, either get rid of the females or add more of them.

I need a better camera too, just got 2 more rams and tried to get some nice pictures, but they all turn out blurry :(

No not sex, the type. Would eventually like to have more angels than the mollies tbh. Would more than 2 be okay in a 55gallon?
