I agree. Before going freelance & changing this room into an office it was a mini gym. I had a multigym over 160kg on its own, a treadmill, bike & weight bench with weights around 150kg stacked up next to the bench. I didn't even think twice about the weight in the room.

I modified my Roma 125 lid to fit my Fluval 206. I cut downwards with a hacksaw & then used a stanley knife to score across a few times, I then bent the piece until it snapped off but you can just use the knife to cut all the way through. It's easy to do and looks better. I cut the holes...

Just don't add any fish for a while, let the tank settle with what you've got :D

I use Seachem Flourish Excel & Seachem Flourish Comprehensive and get no clouding from it. I dose every other day with Excel and once a week with Comprehensive. Stop using Excel for a few days & see if it clears.

I would upgrade to Fluval 306 or TetraTec EX700.

Have you got a storage container? Put some tank water in it, put the fish in & a heater. Empty the tank, put the gravel/sand etc in bags or buckets, put the tank & fish (storage container) in the car/van. Plug the heater back in when at your new house and setup the tank.

My fry hang around my Panda Corys, it's like they are using them as guards :lol:

I'm normally a keeper, I will only swap fish for a good reason, e.g. they pick on my other fish. Like my Danios, I'm giving them a week to see if they stop picking on my other fishes but if it doesn't then I will be swapping them.

I wouldn't add any new fish while you're having ammonia & nitrite problems, it's not good for them & adding more fish will not help ammonia & nitrite levels. If you've got low ammonia and high nitrite & nitrate levels then this is a sign the filter is starting to break down the ammonia/nitrite...

I would still do a test, if the levels are normal for a few days then you can go back to weekly water changes :)

I will see if the LFS will take them. I don't want to get any more as I've already got 23 fish in my 125 ltr tank & don't want to over stock.

Hi. Over the last few days I've noticed my Danios acting strange. When I put the wafers in for my Cory's the Danios will circle the wafers and slam the side of there body into any fish trying to eat these wafers. I've also notice today that they are starting to do this when its not feeding...

It also helps remove ammonia, nitrites & nitrates.

Have you tested your water since to see if Prime helped? My Danios love swimming into the flow and then getting thrown back by it.. they are crazy fish. But they have started bullying my other fish for some reason so I might have to change them :(

There's a few websites that has 500ml for around £12 - £17. Well worth the money as 5ml does 200 ltr's

I never use the caps, I bought some cheap syringes and use them. Much easier to dose a tank that way :)

Hey. I currently have the following fish in my 125 ltr tank (Fluval Roma 125). 10 Platies 5 Danio's 6 Panda cory's 2 Sterbai cory's The tank has a few plants & a Fluval 206 filter. Is this fully stocked? if not, what other fish would you suggest getting? Paul

I had a Fluval U2 on my gold fish tank and it was fine, so I went with a Fluval U3 on my tropical tank (125 ltr) and it never kept the water clear no matter how much cleaning you gave it.. I gave up in the end and went with a Fluval 206 external.

In that case, I would go with a Fluval 206 (I've read it has better flow over the 205 + I have a 206 on my 125 ltr tank) & you can get it for £74.80 + free next day delivery on the website I sent you. As you can see, with my 206 the water is crystal clear.

Just a thought, is your test kit in date? With that nitrite level I would do a large water change. I wouldn't get Purigen just yet, I would just use the media that comes with the filter (including the carbon) and add your existing media to the filter, then after a month, remove the carbon and...

Staxx, I've just sent you a message.. somewhere you might be able to get things cheaper :D How long have you been doing water changes for now? It can take a while but it can also be the filter not doing its job, so you might have to keep doing it until you get the new filter.
