Hi.

Over the last few days I've noticed my Danios acting strange.

When I put the wafers in for my Cory's the Danios will circle the wafers and slam the side of there body into any fish trying to eat these wafers.

I've also notice today that they are starting to do this when its not feeding time.

Should I get rid of the Danios?

What kind of danios are they and how many do you have. i would suggest getting rid of them

Im not saying this is the cause of their behavour but you should get more. leopard and zebra danios are the same fish but pearl danio is a completly different fish and needs a big group of its own kind. both fish need to be kept in a shoal of at least 8 fish.

keeping boisterous shoaling fish like danios in small groups often leads to high aggresion levels within the small group and its is tried and tested that upping their numbers will settle them down.

in terms of the food, the dominant fish may be thinking he can fend 4 other danios off this meal but if there were say 10+ the fish will be thinking eat as much as i can before its all gone because i cant stop all these guys eating my dinner. :shifty:

I will see if the LFS will take them.

I don't want to get any more as I've already got 23 fish in my 125 ltr tank & don't want to over stock.
