The tank is 4' long, around 20" tall, and about 12" wide. The other fish are 9 Serpaes, 1 Pearl Gourami, and 1 RTS.

I have 3 turquoise Rainbowfish, 1 male, 2 females, I've noticed that one of the females is silver with grey line running through its body, it also has a green tint to it. The other female has much more green, ( not as bright as the male though). Why are they so different from eachother? BTW...

I recently added some Turquoise Rainbowfish to my 55 gallon, my male Pearl Gourami won't stop chasing them! I put him in a net breeder at the surface of the tank, will that stop his agression if i leave him in there for a couple weeks? What else can i do?

i'll probably go for it, because my serpaes are good tempered too.

They're pretty good tempered being serpaes, I think the red tailed shark controls their aggression.

They've never nipped the gourami, I've also kept them with a angelfish with no problems ( it soon later died from angelfish virus though, R.I.P.) They barely even nip at eachother, I'm a little worried about the guppys long fins though.

Do you know of any pretty top-dwellers? The only fish I can think of are hatchets, but they're not very pretty.

I heard somewhere that Cory's need sand, I guess it's because gravel wares down their barbles. But I have a red tailed shark in a tank with gravel and he's doing fine.

Cory's might be good idea, what's your favorite kind?
