I am getting my sons a 30 gallon tank for their birthday. I was thinking of putting a Whisper 60 filter on it. Would that be OK or would that be too much for that size tank? Would I be better off with 2 smaller filters? Thank you much for your help.

I just nocticed one of my tetra has a small tear in it its tail fin. :-( The fish seems to be acting fine and my water is in excellent condition. My question is do I need to be concerned that this might be a fin rot situation? Should I quarantine this fish or would that stress it out too...

Neon Tetra, a couple Mollies and 2 loaches (loaches are around 3 years old if age matters), Yoyo I think. I did just buy a chunk of Guppy Grass. Do you think a baby could have been hiding in that?

Oh thank you so much for your reply. :) I was just feeling awful that I was going to hurt these fish by not using salt or hurt the ones I had by adding salt. I am constantly cleaning my tank and offer a nice variety of foods... Thank you again very much.
