hi, was wondering around the pet shop and spoted this little creature. as i was not really planned to buy any fish i didnt check info. so i start asking shopkeeper about it. he said hes got him self 2 of them and they are really good algae eaters and good with community tank...bought it...2...

i had brown algae, was told put more light...now got green (little green spots everywhere, on plants, on glass..) was told coz of too much light...trying to reduce it. but it just keeps coming back, i keep clean and clean and clean as it is hard to scrab it off when gets bigger...any ideas?

my blood tetras and scisor tetras gor fat too(but just females) they prob just eating too much as they gets first. i try feed them less, and bought bigger pellets that they dont get it. i try to feed my fish with some breaks( for exemp. saturday no feeding at all) :rolleyes:

cloan loaches adores snailes :) 5 secs and no snails left :lol:

this is amazing fish...BUT, u have to be ready to deal with them...they are really clever and over reacting(open curtains, standing box, decor changing, decor movement etc.-it can stress them or get angry, then they will just stays in a corner and stops eating...sometimes they stress them self...

yea i had male guppy sexually attracted to baloon molly male...some times he even tryed to mate with him...was really weird...rob he was a bit gay :P

sounds like droppsy to me. my baloon molly died from it, and really quick. so if it looks like he is swollen and always stays on the bottom of the tank, and looks like fir cone it def droppsy. :sad:

when i was recycling my tank(start from 0) i had like that for about 3-4 weeks, then it disapear...it might be going to a stage of cycling...keep doing lil water changes...do not overfeed...as if its still cycling u have to be carefull with meters(amonia, nitrites, nitrates, ph) as your water...

bought some meds for bacteria and fin rot(cures fin rot, pop eye etc) :blush: (used it 5 days) - done water change, aeration at max to circulate all water....- problem solved!

can it be that water too clean? after calamanus worms i have had a paranoia to keep as clean as posible...maby i clean too much tho. gonna do some tests tomorrow to check water again. it might be an effect after treatment...like side effect, as i treated with dog/cat dewormer as other medicine...

hi my baloon molly got smth on her eye...its more then on top of the eye or between eye and skin, hard to say. it looks like a little bubble, her eye seems to be a little blur...her mother died from bubble similar to that(dont know if its the reason as she was old, but after bubble flaped fish...

buying a tank and putted on a table, wich wasnt suited for such a massive weight...nearly got disaster in my house and flooding...bought 2 male gouramis without reading properly that they are teritorial...problem solved after research(more hiding places, plants etc)...and the bigest mistake...

phew....after such a long time i got rid of the worms....yay!!!!! it took me ages, and there was no extra fish loss... :rolleyes:

ok, so i fed 2 times from last time...done vacuum. it seems that white pooping coming just from those who eats the most. and i cant c worm hanging on ballon molly(well i hope i will not) but black tetras seems all 6 got them hanging...before i could c just on 2...i am not sure is it a good sign...

ok, so i done vacum cleaning and changed 50% water change. everything seems to be fine. fishes are really active(exept one, but she was always like that). when vacum, didnt found any worms. just white poops, can it be dead worms or there pieces? or it might be from panacure as its white liquid...

i didnt add panacure to water . i add worms wich i soaked in panacure. i shake them well, well i done water change all green gone away. all fishes alive. all tests seems to be normal. today made panacure flake mixture, at first though its not gonna be good idea as flakes became mashed. but it...

i will do a little break for a week, as platty got stress and baloon molly start to be bulied and stressed. and today my water went green, done water change of about 60-70% dont want to make them ill with bladder dis or itch or smth else. done water test too to make sure its ok. amonia 0...

thanks for answer i really glad that at least some ppl react to my help call. as i call 3 local vets they are not specified in fishes so they know nothing. 1 of them even surprise me by his stupidnes, as he said he dont really know and i ask so what should i do he said try to take worms out of...

hi again, i bough more plants for fishes to keep safe and stop fighting. it did work really well. i do water changes 10%-15% every second day to take amonia away after medicine. today i checked water and my amonia is 0 but nitrites got high :blink: its 0.8 maby a bit more. is it because cycling...
