hello,
ive got a prob with parasites, need an advise and lil help. i have 200l tank with tropical fish for maby more then 6 month after recycle. everything seems to be not bad in all this time, but 1 month ago i notice that my guppy have smth sticking out of her anus. tryed to look more carefully but it was hard to keep fish still. after it seems disapear so i thought maby was a poop. after 1 week i notice that again something sticking out, so i fed the fish and was trying to have a good look at it. there was 3 spikes hanging out of it. start to do reasearch in web and the best description was CALLAMANUS WORMS!!!! went to aqaua shop bought some medicine as shop keeper said it might help, but it didnt. i seperate the fish. after a week another fish start to have symptoms...start to look for solution. none of the pet shops got any medicine from it as its none common desiese, but seems lots of ppl deal with that problem. so everyone saying thats its good to use Fenbendazole (Panacur). the only medicine with it i found in my area is Panacur Worming Granules for Cats, Kittens, Dogs and Puppies 3 x 4.5gm...as guppy passed away today it seems another 2 fishes got symptoms too, so i want to treat as soon as posible and i think i need to trat all tank. so anyone can help me to work out how should i dose these granules in water? probably need buy live food like bloodworms and soak them in this mixture. and are these worms gonna die? and how often should i give this and for how long? as there is diferent opinions on it. please help.
