i just planted an Iwagumi layout and have dwarf baby tears near the front !.... i use an eco complete and sand substrate . I feel though that i havent planted the tears completly right... some pieces floated up. I feel that i really try to shove it in to the substrate that they would be burried...

does any one know where i could find like that awesome Takashi Amano stuff!!?

Hi does anyone know where i can find some cool long branching pieces of wood for a 30 gallon tank!? I live in the US and money is a pretty big factor ... if any one knows a way to get like horn wood or something that would be awesome THANKS!:hyper:

OH ok thank you !!! ive already wondered why like in the aquarium journals by Takashi amano he will use like almost 200 to 400 watts for one tank!! Also would you know of any other good plants to give me a great looking layout?

ok interesting ... my concern is that after i buy all these plants that they start to not do so well so im just hoping that im able to set up good conditions for them to grow and make my very own beautiful iwagumi tank haha!.... do you have any more ideas on what i should do.... i was thinking...

The tank is 10 gallons. I believe i get about 2watts per gallon . I do in fact have a Co2 system set up for this tank . As far as the hairgrass, the place im ordering it from has both . I thought since i want to do a iwagumi tank that the long hairgrass in back and the dwarf in front would look...

hi ive already set up a nice layout for a iwagumi tank!.... i plan on purchasing some hairgrass and dwarf hairgrass and a little bit of some dwarf tears.... im wondering what kind of ferts i should use! the bottles i have now have iron and magnessium and the other is Seachem flourish are they...

sounds good .... it just arrived in the mail!....im hoping to do an iwagumi layout in a 10 gallon and then take some black sand and the rest ....which i assume will be about 3 to 3 1/2 bags and take that into a 30 gallon tank! Do you guys believe this substrate can work good with foreground...

well i was thinking about mixing it with black sand ...... if it is tooooooo gravely.... do think i could maby crush it alittle and make finer??

hi I just bought 4 bags of the Caribsea Eco-complete and im wondering what people think about this substrate. I got it for $71 and free shipping!! Is Eco complete a good plant substrate??

a little more sand would help for the most part since those are thin stems also you might want to think about buying some planting tweezer ..... you can get whole sets on Ebay ....most will be quite long which alsos for better control and for placing those stem plants close so your hands dont...

as far as plants im still looking into which ones will give me a beautiful carpet effect.. probally hairgrass near back and Hemianthus "Cuba" idk im up for suggestions. I have Co2 and 2 watts per gallon just need the substrate and rock!

hi im doing a iwagumi layout in a 10 gallon tank ....ive seen many types of substrate im looking to keep a black substrate. Ive looked a products such as ADA amazonia ...Seachem Flourite black sand... what do you believe would be good for Iwagumi and foreground

ive used this before in a easily planted tank....roots grow quite well with it.....if you like the look of it with the black sand you should be fine !

If I was to get the Ada products I know are different steps I'm first trying this in a 10 gallon tank so what is the most important Ada products because I'm trying to save some money

well at this time i have to full "high tech" plant tanks a 30 and 10. Both have Co2 and i made sure there was at least 2 watts per gallon. Im 16 and love this hobby ...my mother becasue ya know ...16 ...take it easy on me :shout: says i should at least try what i want to achieve in the 30 in...

there great to have around and a whole big group is a great assest to a tank....none of your fish at the moment will eat them ....all should be well .....but if you add more fish for some reason dont add botia species and carefuly look at what loach species you add although alot look the same...

Hi there after succesfully breeding kribs ive decided to breed rams!.....i had a male ram in a tank i planed to use for breeding...i then later added a lovely female ram to said tank...both swim openly in the tank however they are positioning their body's next to each other so there heads face...

hi there today about an hour or so after a waterchange i noticed my 2 kribs with a school of fry!!....i knew they weres a chance they could mate and that the male became agrresive lately. Im wondering if i should intereveen and take the fry or just let the parents guard and help them feed and...

as of now only a little im not sure what kinda of looking rock really to get ....but its a deffinet possibility....need to go rock hunting haha

:D thanks for the nice remarks ...i took some of the plantling from the left hand corner and put them in the middle area were its empty...ill post pictures in a couple weeks when the whole tank grows out !!
