What Kind Of Ferts Should I Use!?!

hi ive already set up a nice layout for a iwagumi tank!.... i plan on purchasing some hairgrass and dwarf hairgrass and a little bit of some dwarf tears.... im wondering what kind of ferts i should use! the bottles i have now have iron and magnessium and the other is Seachem flourish are they good enough and are these plants good for iwaguim !?

Depends how much light you have and over what size tank.
The more light you have, the more CO2 you need. And the more CO2 you have, the more nutrients you need. Mainly nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
What do you mean when you say Hairgrass and dwarf hairgrass? The two species I know are around the same size.

The tank is 10 gallons. I believe i get about 2watts per gallon . I do in fact have a Co2 system set up for this tank . As far as the hairgrass, the place im ordering it from has both . I thought since i want to do a iwagumi tank that the long hairgrass in back and the dwarf in front would look very nice. However if you have other cool ideas or options i greatly appreciate them!

Ah, I forgot about Eleocharis vivipara. That's probably what they mean by Hairgrass.
Dwarf Hairgrass will either be Eleocharis acicularis or Eleocharis parvula.
I'd reccomend Tropica Plant Nutrition+. Contains macro and micro nutrients. Here is another product.
Large weekly water changes are important in CO2 enriched tanks. Ensure that your filter flow/circulation is good too.

ok interesting ... my concern is that after i buy all these plants that they start to not do so well so im just hoping that im able to set up good conditions for them to grow and make my very own beautiful iwagumi tank haha!.... do you have any more ideas on what i should do.... i was thinking maby my lighting wasnt good enough ??

20W over a 10gallon combined with good CO2 and ferts will allow you to grow anyhing you want. There's a lot of hype out there which leads folks to believe they need lots of light but the reality is that they dont.

OH ok thank you !!! ive already wondered why like in the aquarium journals by Takashi amano he will use like almost 200 to 400 watts for one tank!!

Also would you know of any other good plants to give me a great looking layout?

Iwagumi tanks usually have only a small number of species of plants. Best advise I can give is to look at Amanos work but also entries into the AGA competition. Just type that last one into google and go to the entries for the previous years.

Im looking more into it and guinne pig droppings too. Just a suggestion though. Maybe worth a look atleast??
