Yeah they dont come with a lid, but I just made a Clear PVC one that seems to be doing the job fine. And yes you can turn off the light independently or dim it if you so desire... I thought the size of this tank would be sufficient for a single Betta... >>Honeythorn: Do you not believe this is...
