Don't add the porcupine puffer. You don't have enough room for one. First of all they need a tank of at least 125 gallons and secondly your tank is full. I know know you feel, I wanted one to, they're so cute! :wub:

Did you do any tests yourself? For amonia, nitrite, nitrate etc. If you don't have any test kits consider purchaing some, they're useful :D

I was just looking at your filtration, are you going to use anything besides a bio-wheel? If you're going to keep corals you might want to consider getting a protein skimmer and powerheads. They will make it much easier to have really good water quality. Also, I think when it comes to clowns...

I think you would be much better off choosing to keep either seahorses or pipe fish. If you really want to keep them together I would reccomend a tank over 100 gallons, you could keep alot but they would need that much space. What size were you thinking of getting?The other thing about...

This is an old post, but another good thing to cycle with is a raw prawn, like the kind you buy at the grocery store, it smells but it works really well and besides, cycling with fish is cruel in my opinion :-(

Those cuts are not normal! You need to watch your racoon for any signs of agression towards the starfish and if you notice any remove the starfish or the racoon, your choice, because if you don't your starfish might die! :-( :angry:

You need at least a 125 gallon tank and even that is a little small. Although they don't usually reach full size in captivity, they do usually exceed 16 inches and aren't good in reefs.

Hazmat, It looks like you've got a lot of tangs. I heard that they can be agressive towards each other and that they need alot of space. I didn't think you could keep so many together, but you look like you know what your doing :D How are they?

Of course you can always keep them in a smaller tank, but they will die much easier and be unhappy! :(

But the fish will grow and you have to be prepared if you want to keep it, and with a fish as cool as a boxfish you'd definitely want to keep it! :D

The ASM skimmers are good. They're almost the same as the euroreef except half the price :D . I've had lots of people tell me that they work really well. I think there's a 19.5 inch model, G-1 I think. I think I'm getting the G-1x for my soon to be 75 gallon.

One more thing, you might want to start with a bigger tank like a 55 or 75 gallon. It will be more expensive and larger but it will be much easier to handle, not to deep for lighting troubles and enough serface area for a good gas exchange. Just to help you a little I'm starting a slatwater...

seahorses are a real pain to keep and die easily.I think it's a shame people are selling them in pet stores because without the proper knowledge they'll surely die within the first couple of days :no: . Many people think seahorse would make a cool pet but their endangered and selling them in...
