I have to agree great but ugly. The only uglier fish I know of is the marine cow fish (seriously look it up I had nightmares)

L18 is normal spot L85 is the adult version of L18 just one of the quirks of L numbering L177 is big spot and L81 is small spot. L18 grows big 14" or so i believe (and thus becomes L85 i suppose) the other 2 stay small around 6 to 8 inches as has been stated previously.

Back on topic the usual suggestions are apple snails and African dwarf frogs. The whole bettas will eat snails thing they may have a nip at the feelers and even get lucky enough to take it off but the snail will grow it back and adapt to pull it in quicker in the future, I have them together...

couple of questions if you could find out are they t5 or t8 lights i think they changed over at some point in the last few years so basically how old is it (i might have made this up if so please tell me) also any scratches? thanks

im 90% sure that all mine were the right way up. They arrived today at about midday took a few hours to get going but now they have all climbed to the highest point in my tank. Hopefully i have no jumpers.

really sorry to hijack the thread but i know you say dont put male guppies and male bettas in a small bowl, does anyone know if a group of female bettas(say 3 or 4) and some male guppies could co-exist in a 350L tank (around 60g i believe)
