I keep a shoal of Sidthimunkis with my Corys, they are very active and i think very good looking fish to boot. Highly recommended! Oh and they do a good job of keeping the snails at bay as well.

I had the same concern myself and ended up using Flourite Black Sand instead. One of the guys I've met online has had Corys for some time now and did experience some barbel wear with normal flourite.

Just a little update, the Duplicareus appear to be spawning. I've moved the Paleatus to the other tank now to prevent any excess egg eating/confusion (as they are spawning as well) and with any luck we'll see if I can have a few more of these guys!

Congratulations! My first Corys were a group of 4 Paleatus as well. I know have 6 Paleatus (they spawned and two fry survived) and 3 Duplicareus. Such entertaining little guys to watch.

LIke alot of people, my staple food is Hikari "Sinking Wafers" which the little guys love. Supplemented by frozen blood worms once a week, and whatever Tetracolor Flakes make it past the Platys. I will also occasionally toss in a Hikari "Algae Wafer" mostly for my Oto's but the Corys of course...
